A big congratulations to our most recent scholarship recipient! During the 2024 Clewiston Sugar Fest, the SWFL Heroes Foundation awarded a $3,000 scholarship to one of SWFL’s future heroes, Victoria Villatoro.
Victoria, a resident of Clewiston, Florida and student of Clewiston High School, embodies the spirit of our foundation through her unwavering dedication to academic excellence and community service.
Victoria’s list of achievements includes Lieutenant for the Florida Public Service Academy Program and Captain of the Clewiston High School Band Color Guard. Victoria has also been a part of the CHS Tiger Pride Band and the CHS Track & Field Team.

As a recipient of our scholarship, Victoria is pursuing a career in Criminal Justice at Palm Beach State College. Her journey serves as a testament to the transformative power of education and the impact it can have on shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

If you (or someone you know) has a dream to serve SWFL as a first responder and is enrolled in one of the academies but could benefit from a scholarship, please direct them to our website. Simply fill out the Scholarship Application right on the website and submit it for review.
Scholarships are awarded on availability of funds and qualifying criteria, which includes engagement within the community, academic achievements, along with any professional referrals.
