Who is Julian Keen, Jr?

Julian Keen, Jr. was a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Officer who dedicated his life to serving and protecting his SWFL community.

Despite his untimely passing at the young age of 30, Julian’s legacy lives on as a true hero who had a positive impact on everyone he met. He was known for his selflessness and infectious personality that made everyone feel welcome and valued.

An Inspiration to All Who Knew Him

Julian Keen, Jr., was known as the “Man” and “Batman” to those who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, putting others before himself.

Julian was a role model, mentor, and friend. His goal in life was to make a difference and to help others succeed. He lived his life with purpose and passion, and his legacy will continue to inspire others for years to come.

The foundation is committed to supporting the educational goals of SWFL youth who are pursuing a career in law enforcement or as a first responder. The scholarship opportunities offered by the foundation provide a lasting tribute to Julian’s life and a way to continue his mission of making a difference in the world.

Brick Laying Ceremony in Julian Keen's Honor

On Monday March 27, 2023, the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy added a 45th memorial brick in honor of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer Julian L. Keen to its Fallen Officers Memorial.

The ceremony included words of remembrance and honor from The Florida Wildlife Commission, Public Service Academy Director Todd Everly, and concluded with the unveiling of the memorial brick with Julian’s family members.
