Donnie’s Farah: Scholarship Recipient Testimony
Here’s what Donnie had to say,
“Now that the dust has settled from the last couple weeks of school and state testing, I wanted to say thank you all one more time for awarding me this scholarship.
The last four months have been among the more grueling months of my life, but your award lightened the financial burden of changing career paths in my 30’s.
I truly cannot thank you enough for your generosity. This is a picture from our graduation in which I was able to stand beside my father as a fellow first responder for the first time in my life, as well as with my mother who has been a saint through it all.
Though I do not know yet the weight the badge carries, I can’t wait to shoulder it with my fellow brothers and sisters, just as Julian would.”
